Media in China can be separated into 3 kinds:

1.Official mouthpieces such as Xinhua News, China Daily, or CCTV. They are more likely to report selectively. It means that they’d report something while ignore something else. As long as I can remember, they don’t fake news.
2.Medias which are established by regional government tend to have different stance. Some of them would fake news to cause hatred against communist party of China or chaos within Chinese society, some don’t. Occasionally, some of them do fake news.
3.Medias which are purely for money can have no bottom line. Some of them purely live by faking news, not necessarily political news though.

If we consider self-media such as social network accounts as media, then where could be millions medias in China.
