To be honest I think all government should be that way. Government is the last bulwark common people have against predatory capitalists. Free market can only be kept free by preventing large caps from dominating an entire sector.

Private ownership of certain things like land and water shouldn’t be allowed as it it imposes artificial scarcity if I own 99% of the land in a country and refuse to sell it making the remaining 1% of land in a country very expensive.

It encourages artificial scarcity and the speculative economy where people have to pay rent.

I am happy you at least see the problems of private ownership but I don’t see how we as a whole society really benefit from it. Demand of basic things shouldn’t be manipulated to skew profits for corporations or billionaires and directly lower living standards for consumers and workers who are mostly the same people.
