中国人到底怎样看待中国政府？

回中国之前我已经在美国住了差不多20年（高中，大学，工作），我想我应该能够同时理解两边。

没有人100%地对任何政府感到满意，但此时此刻，中共的满意度特别高，因为以下原因：

1、人民支持政府的行动，因为他们这数十年来始终能看到其结果。政策通常是言之有理的，并且真地试图解决问题。当问题发生，纠正问题的行动也会发生。

2、人民支持政府的方向。当你从长远的时间框架看中国的政策，事情是有理可循的。如果你去看2个或多个美国总统的政策，那彻底是混沌。

3、政府对新冠病毒的处理是令人震惊的成功。是的，你可以挑出瑕疵，但其它政府并没做得更好。胜算几乎不存在（想想春节的时候），但生活仍然在2020年4月恢复到正常。当人们看到美国和印度发生的事情，他们就更大力支持中共。

4、还是和新冠病毒有关。在最初美国人看着中国丢下各种侮辱性言论。记得华尔街日报的标题说“中国是真正的东亚病夫”吗？所以当中国恢复正常，而美国的抗疫徒劳无功，人们更是支持中共。

5、另一个英国、美国和其他国家的人常常忽略的是：中国人其实知道他们遭受了歧视。“中国制造意味着肮脏、便宜和低质量”、“谁他妈会想去中国生活”、“中国人没有自由”、“我们真该在朝鲜战争时核平他们”、“所有中国企业都是邪恶的共产间谍”。所以当他们的政府完成重大事件，他们有强烈的民族自豪感。

6、腐败始终比较低。20年前它看起来还很狂野，但从那时开始，法律、法规逐渐变得强硬。当坏家伙暴露时，政府如今也更不会去管制信息。即使是被迫承认“传播谣言”的李医生（对，就是那个死于新冠的验光师），也很快被免罪。

7、人们知道西方怎样声讨中国政府，并相信其中绝大多数指控是狗屎。新疆棉、香港暴力、达赖喇嘛、新冠病毒、台湾、南海等等……

8、还有其他如生活质量，经济成长等等。

没有哪个政府是完美的，而且还有很多人们——包括我——不赞成的事情。譬如习的一个政策是要求私人企业建立起政治身上的功能。许多人认为这项政策是回到毛时代。

当然，过去也有过很多错误。人们知道文化大革命、大跃进等等。中共造成的文化破坏也广泛受到声讨（如北京城墙）。

I’ve lived in USA for almost 20 years (high school, college, work) before returning to China. I believe I understand both sides.

No one is 100% satisfied with any government, but at the moment, CCP approval is extremely high, for the following reasons:

1.People approve the government’s actions after consistently seeing results for decades. The policies usually make sense, and genuinely try to solve problems. When there are mistakes, there are also corrective actions.

2.People approve the government’s directions. When you look at Chinese policies in a non-myopic time frame, things make sense. When you look at American policies across 2 or more presidents, it’s utter chaos.

3.The government’s handling of Covid-19 was an astounding success. Yes you can nitpit imperfections, but other governments haven’t done better. There were impossible odds (think Lunar New Year), yet life still got back to normal around April 2020. When people look at what happened in USA and India they give massive props to CCP.

4.Also related to Covid-19. At the beginning Americans looked at China and hurled insults. Remember the WSJ article “China is the Real Sick Man of Asia”? So when China got back to normal while American pandemic response went down the drain, that’s even more props to CCP.

5.Another thing people in US/UK/etc tend to overlook: people in China do know they are prejudiced against. “made in Chinese means dirt cheap and dirt poor quality”, “who the f**k would want to live there”, “Chinese have no freedom”, “we should have nuked them in Korean War”, “all Chinese companies are evil commie spies”. So when the government achieves great things, there is great national pride.

6.Corruption is at all time low. 20 years ago it looked rather wild west. Since then rule of law has grown much stronger. When bad stuff get exposed, the government is now less likely to suppress information. Even Dr. Li (yes the optometrist died to covid), who was forced to admit “spreading rumors”, was quickly exonerated.

7.People know how the West condemns Chinese government, and believe most of these accusations are bullsh*t. Xinjiang cotton, Hongkong riots, Dalai Lama, Covid-19, Taiwan, SCS and etc.

8.Then there’s quality of life, economy growth, and all that stuff.

No government is perfect and there are many things people, including myself, don’t agree with. For example, requiring private companies to establish political functions is a Xi policy. Many consider that policy to be going back to Mao era.

There are past mistakes as well, people do know about Cultural Revolution, Great Leap Forward, and etc. The cultural destruction caused by CCP is also widely condemned (i.e. Beijing’s city walls).
